Humana People to People (HPP) was created in 1977 in Denmark as a response to the necessity of improving the life conditions in the poorest parts of the world. Today, the headquarters of HPP is situated in Murgwi, Shamva in Zimbabwe.
The Federation Humana People to People is composed of 34 national development organizations that work in 43 countries, on 5 continents. During the past 30 years, HPP has expanded into a global movement, around 11,5 million people in Africa, Asia and Latin American are benefiting fromthe
The combined efforts of Humana People to People organizations in Europe and North America and those of Africa, Asia and Latin America have resulted in more than 330 development projects in operation in the beginning of 2010. They involve 11,5 million people and have 8,300 employees in 10 countries in Africa, 3 countries in Asia, and 3 countries in Latin America. In addition to this, 13,2 million people buy clothes from the 2nd hand clothes trade in 6 countries in Africa.
Apart from that, Humana reaches 4,5 million people that donated clothes or that bought clothes sold in Africa, contributing of benefiting from the activities of Humana. Humana People to People and the afiliated organizations are based on the concepto f Solidary Humanism. Humana Brasil is part of the Humana People to People movement.
